Former President Donald Trump said in an interview with NBC News that if elected, his administration would not only protect access to in vitro fertilization but would have either the government or insurance companies cover the cost of the expensive service for American women who need it. Democrats have attacked Trump and Republicans over IVF in recent months, saying that GOP-led restrictions on abortion could lead to restrictions on IVF as well. In the same interview, Trump also indicated that he would vote in favor of an abortion ballot measure in Florida that would guarantee a right to abortion until fetal viability. |
