Artists Teresita FernándezMaya LinJason Mitcham, and Colby Parsons investigate place and and create artwork that explores human connections to our changing world. Employing various mediums, these artists examine, challenge, and redefine the concept of landscape.

Ranging from 1855 to 2002 these fourteen artworks from CAM's permanent collection illustrate the varied styles and lasting influence of nature within the fabric of our shared cultural landscape. On view in conjunction with Beyond the Horizon, this exhibition features the artwork of John Beerman, Elliott Daingerfield, Francis Speight, Richard Stenhouse, Anthony Thieme and William Aiken Walker. Also on view is contemporary work on loan from San Francisco artist Daniel Kilpatrick.

A special closing program for CAM's exhibitions Beyond the Horizon and
Landscapes from the Collection (on view through July 9), two of Wilmington's premier creative musical artists, Chiaki Ito and Christopher Marcellus performing original music created for the exhibitions. Chiaki and Christopher understand the nature of visual and audible art and the importance of their connection in stimulating interest beyond the surface.
