| What will London look like next year? | Come with us now on a journey through time, as we flash forward to summer in London in the year 2021. Let’s get the disappointing stuff out of the way: the District Line is still a panic-inducing mess; England have bombed out of the Euros and the third season of ‘Succession’ was a let-down. Sorry. But what about the capital’s restaurants, theatres and the like? How are they faring? We collared some expert-types and got their opinions on what London might be like once this wretched year is but a memory. |

Incoming: streaming stuff for your diary | | Streaming now Experience:LDN | It’s been a tough old year for London’s independent businesses. They’ve spent months shuttered, had to fight for government support and are now trying to navigate new social distancing rules. That’s why we teamed up with Instagram to spend two days bigging up some of the city’s little guys to the whole damn world. The result? More than ten hours of workshops from places like cactus shop Prick, pottery Kana and gym Blok. And it’s all extremely good stuff. If you ever wanted to learn how to forage herbs, make ganache, look after your plants better, mix your own body butter, make your own air-dry clay, do barre like a ballet dancer or make a Dishoom-approved bacon naan, you know where to look. | The best of the rest: | Tuesday, 7pm Make your housemates think you’re really smart by watching this lecture about the real meaning of quantum mechanics with the volume turned right up.
Tuesday, 7pm If you write a song, does that mean you own it? That’s the question Mood Music explores, The Old Vic’s archive play whose YouTube run ends this evening. Expect to see music producers fighting dirty.
Wednesday, 8pm LGBTQ+ night Club Wotever was ground-breakingly inclusive when it launched in 2003. This documentary, streaming for free until Thursday, follows its early days, and you can sign up for a live Q&A with its director on Wednesday night.

You baked, we judged | | That’s right, remember when we asked you to send in photos of your best sourdough baking exploits? Remember how we said we’d get The Dusty Knuckle in Dalston to judge the winners? Well, you only went and inundated us with entries. That’ll show us. We finally got through all the (let’s be honest) basically identical photographs and narrowed it down to ten elite-looking loaves. Take it away, Dusty Knuckle... |
