Pulp Fiction
Learn how to craft the perfect pulp short story by using tips and tricks from a pulp legend. Your heroes and villains will be compelling. Your plot will be character driven and entertaining. You'll incorporate all of your senses into your writing. And, you will discover the perfect spots to start and finish your story. At the conclusion of the course, your pulp short story will be reader ready. You may write within any pulp genre: mystery/thriller, action/adventure, romance, western, sci-fi/fantasy, horror, and others. In the Pulp Fiction Writing Workshop you will have the opportunity to choose your genre and start writing 1500 words each week using the master plot formula. You'll finish your story on week four. You'll make sure that the suspense remained until the last line and that everything happened logically. At the end of the workshop, you'll be able to see if you've left the reader with a highly satisfied feeling. Class members are encouraged to participate in the peer critique section of the workshop.
