Art Nouveau and Art Deco

The auction opens with Art Nouveau and Art Deco masterpieces. The works by Lluís Masriera i Rosés, whose filigree brooch 'Femme libellule' adorns the title of the catalog, mustn’t be ignored. Three pieces of jewelry with 'plique-à-jour' enamel and stone trimming (lots 617-619) embody the graceful ornamentation of Art Nouveau, as Masriera could see in the Paris salons of his time.   
Bulgari offers an Art Déco dream. The platinum bracelet set with around 20 carats of baguette- and brilliant-cut diamonds also functions as a ladies' watch (lot 626). The richly decorated middle section conceals a simple movement. 

Dream rings

Lady Diana's engagement ring that later graced Kate Middleton's hand, became the dream of thousands of women overnight. No one can resist a spectacular sapphire framed by diamonds. Two models in the auction revisit the design of the style icon with the prominent blue gemstone (lots 649 and 650). 
Anyone looking for a ring with a classic brilliant-cut diamond solitaire will also find an outstanding selection. Whether it’s the high-carat piece from Boucheron, Paris (lot 648), which also attracts with its unusual shape, or the delicate ring with an emerald-cut diamond (lot 360) - there is something to suit every hand.

Emerald, sapphire, ruby, diamond - high-quality gemstones are the focus of the auction. Some pieces are particularly impressive due to their rare size and shape. An extraordinary necklace with a drop-shaped emerald cabochon (lot 668) mesmerizes with its luminosity. Elegant bracelets with oval-cut rubies (lot 685) or sapphires (lot 651) will be stylish companions on the wrist. 

Costume jewelry for a good cause - charity auction of the Lore Linnerz collection

We are also pleased to offer catalog numbers 757 to 900 from the estate of the Cologne collector and benefactor Lore Linnerz. The proceeds will benefit the Cologne Grammar School and Foundation Fund.Look forward to exceptional costume jewelry from renowned brands and designers. More than 30 objects come from Kenneth Jay Lane, a great name in the industry. For almost 60 years, he adorned fashion icons such as Jackie Kennedy Onassis, Elizabeth Taylor and Audrey Hepburn with his opulent pieces of jewelry. 

Colored glass stones, enamel, base to precious metals - due to the wide range of materials used, there were no limits to the imaginative creations of the manufacturers. It is therefore not surprising that major fashion houses such as Dior, Escada, Givenchy and Versace also created their own fashion jewelry lines.
