No images? Click here Do, As 2022 begins, our country is still facing a global pandemic, supply chain issues, and economic uncertainty. Against this backdrop, the second session of the 117th Congress is now underway. Over the last year, the ERLC has continued to carry out our ministry directive to represent Southern Baptists before Congress, the courts, and the administration — even throughout a time of transition. This work is continuing as we move into 2022 with the release of our 2022 Public Policy Agenda. In 2021, the ERLC worked to defend the vulnerable in countless ways, including successful efforts to bring awareness and action to the Uyghur genocide, regulation of predatory payday lenders, and ongoing advocacy on pro-life laws as we urged the Supreme Court to overturn the disastrous precedents set in Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey. Our 2022 Public Policy agenda is not an exhaustive list, but simply an overview of our core public policy priorities for the next year as we continue to represent Southern Baptists in the public square.
