Our Photographer of the Month for April

"Architecture wasn't something I initially gravitated to in terms of photography, as I found natural landscapes much more engaging. But over time, as I started exploring more and more countries, I became completely enthralled by cityscapes."

So says the wonderful Julian Elliott, whose passion as a photographer really takes hold when he's able to find a different vantage point from which to shoot a city – somewhere away from both tourists and locals.

We caught up with him to hear some of the stories behind his favourite captures.

Along with equine literature expert Jane Badger, Hilary is set to chat about the highs and lows of her epic horseback journey down the west coast of Ireland in the 1980s and the bond she built with her two Connemara ponies, Mollie and Peggy.
