A new Mental Health & Wellbeing Platform for Employers has been launched by the Scottish Government and Public Health Scotland, which streamlines employer access to free and reputable health and wellbeing resources. 
 
The new platform for Employers has been developed in partnership with the Employment and Mental Health Working Group, which brings together the experience and expertise of cross-sectoral representatives from employer organisations, trade unions, mental health organisations and public sector partners.

The Business Innovation and Growth Grant is for Scottish small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with more than 10 employees that wish to pursue business growth.

The grant will cover up to 50 per cent of eligible project costs for activities such as, new product and service development, productivity improvements, development of leadership skills and fair work practices, entering new and expanding international markets

Feragaia launches in United States

Fife’s alcohol-free spirit Feragaia is now available across the USA following the announcement of two new distribution deals, a key element of the East Fife-based business’ expansion plans. 

In July 2022, Feragaia became available to purchase online in all 50 US states thanks to a partnership with leading New York alcohol-free distributor and e-commerce platform, ProofNoMore.

Up to £100,000 Available With Business Loans Scotland

Business Loans Scotland is a consortium of Scottish local authorities that provide loans ranging from £25,000 to £100,000 (and in exceptional circumstances up to £250,000) to eligible businesses on behalf of the Scottish Government.

Business Loans Scotland is not sector-specific and businesses in a variety of sectors have already been supported under the fund.

Scotland's deposit return scheme will go live for consumers in one year’s time giving businesses and consumers an easy way to boost recycling.

The scheme, which will be the first in the UK, will play an important part in Scotland’s journey to a circular economy. Estimates by Zero Waste Scotland suggest that the scheme will reduce emissions by an average of nearly 160,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide a year.
