Legal Alert September 2020

Dear Clients and Business Partners,

After a decrease in the number of people suffering from Covid-19 and its consequence of lifting certain measures, increasing numbers of infections have been observed during the past few weeks again. For this reason, tighter measures have been (re-)implemented by either the federal or the cantonal government; at the federal level, e.g. a list of countries and areas with a high risk of infection that is regularly updated has been established. People returning from such countries and areas must in principle stay in quarantine for 10 days upon their return. Further, various changes regarding short-time work compensation and its application and request procedures have been announced recently.

This Legal Alert provides an overview of the latest labor law-related measures and their continuous changes as per September 2020.
