After assessing CrossFit's organization and cost structure and considering the current economic environment, CrossFit CEO Don Faul decided layoffs were necessary to create a more sustainable business model, ensure that the company is prepared for economic uncertainty, and position CrossFit to make big bets against its most important priorities, he said. 

In addition to removing the period from its name to make it easier to find and spell, Pvolve has lowered its price by $5 per month, updated its bundles, and redesigned and relaunched its e-commerce website and aspects of the on-demand membership experience all in an effort to make the brand accessible to more people.
