Rules Of Engagement is a street mural commissioned by Nuestra Comunidad Development Corporation with local artist Ricardo Gomez.

"Love, Respect, and Compassion are the basic ways we should approach everyone," Gomez shared on his website. Within each of these yellow words, Gomez highlights that "Black Life Matters", spreading the deeper message to "Love Black," "Respect Life," and that "Compassion Matters."

This mural is located on Bartlett Station Drive in Roxbury, MA and will be at the foreground of this summer music series.

Meet Neighborhood Artist Fabiola Méndez

Neighborhood Artist Highlight: Fabiola Mendez

Vocalist and cuatro player Fabiola Méndez and her trio sustained us through the pandemic with a couple of amazing digital concerts. Now that in-person performances have resumed, it’s our pleasure to share this trio with a live audience.

She and her trio have created a sound that blends folkloric music, jazz, and Latin styles; taking Puerto Rico’s beloved traditional instrument to new places!
