Facebook’s “nearly 17 million strong” user base in Australia gives the social network a strong platform from which to leverage the launch of its Watch video on demand service and challenge YouTube in the Australian market, according to new research.

The highly competitive NBN market has claimed its first victim from the small end of town with Melbourne-based Internet services provider Telecube going into liquidation and asking its NBN clients to obtain a connection elsewhere.
