| Remember how the loudest and bossiest kid often ran the show on the playground or at sleepovers? Sometimes, it still feels like that’s the way the world works. Society, and even the church, often props up and praises the most aggressive among us, rewarding the quest for power and publicity as a virtue rather than a vice.
But then comes Jesus, described throughout Scripture as:
Meek and gentle.
Humble and lowly in heart.
Having no form or majesty that we should look at him. While they may not always be easy to spot, there are Jesus followers today who show us how to walk as he walked in friendships, family relationships, the academy, and more. May their faithfulness encourage you today. |
