Join us for a member’s only preview of two new exhibitions: Pinkie’s Memories and The Shadow We Create

The Shadow We Create raises questions about societal prescriptions, race, servitude, fear, and the consequences of not speaking through compelling works by artists Mary Bowron, Willie Cole, and Jan-Ru Wan.

In Pinkie's Memories, NC artist Pinkie Strother re-creates her childhood memories with mixed media dioramas offering a connection to the past through the recreation of the houses, churches, schools, and libraries of her memories

Free tours for members, led by staff will take place at 11 AM, 1 PM, 2 PM, 5 PM, 7 PM. Register online, in person at CAM or by phone. There will also be a 20% off Member Sale in the Museum Shop all day for members (except Claude Howell serigraphs) from 10 AM to 9 PM on September 9.

It’s time to wear your Union blue, dance to the sounds of Mangroove, and celebrate the upcoming installation of Boundless, the USCT sculpture by Stephen Hayes. This fundraiser was rescheduled from March 2020. All previous ticket purchases will be honored.

Tickets: $25

Support Boundless by purchasing a raffle tickets to be entered in a drawing to win two Buffalo Soldier prints by Don Stivers. Drawing will be held September 18.

A total of 300 tickets will be sold. All sales final, no refunds.
