Kick Off Fall with Us Tomorrow: Food, Crafts, and Fun!

Join us in celebrating local Black-owned businesses tomorrow at Pop-Ups on the Plaza: Fall Kickoff! From jerk fried chicken wings at Lil'Alijo to Trinidadian street food from TriniGirlDoubles, the Embarcadero Ferry Terminal Plaza (south of the Ferry Building) will be filled with a wide variety of delicious food. Be sure to also check out the front of the Ferry Building for the In The Black craft market, family activities, and free cooking demos.

 

Want a taste of tomorrow's festivities? Hear from some of our participating vendors like Bruthas Honey, Gourmonade, The Final Sauce, and Belle Noire in this video! They will be among the 20+ talented entrepreneurs from our vibrant Bay Area community featured at Fall Kickoff. Entry is free and open to the public, with food and drink available for purchase.

This light, meal-prep-friendly salad uses tofu, green beans, dashi, and soy sauce for an easy dish that can be enjoyed at any time of day. David Yoshimura of Nisei demonstrated this recipe using Hodo tofu from the farmers market.
