Family, supporters of Philando Castile continue to protest his killing, officer's acquittal

Family and friends of Philando Castile Wednesday evening marked the sixth anniversary of his killing with a protest decrying deadly use of force by police outside the Governor's Residence in St. Paul.

The robotic age has reached the nursing home stage.A professor from the University of Minnesota Duluth is rolling out a fleet of robots to nursing homes to provide entertainment and well-being checks.

Pandemic bonus sign-ups top 900,000. Pandemic worker bonus checks are shaping up to be smaller than previously expected due to heavy demand for the Minnesota-authorized financial recognition. 

Derek Chauvin sentencing set for today. Former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin will be sentenced to between 20 and 25 years in federal prison today. He pleaded guilty late last year to federal charges that he violated George Floyd’s civil rights when he took Floyd’s life in May 2020.
