A Family-Friendly Fairy Tale

Brothers Grimm classic Hansel and Gretel has enchanted young and old alike for centuries. And Engelbert Humperdinck's 1893 operatic adaptation adds even more magic, with German folk songs and sweeping orchestration. This production is part of Opera Holland Park's Young Artists Scheme, which opens doors for emerging directors, conductors, and singers.

A Puccini Classic

After Hansel and Gretel, Opera Holland Park's 2023 season continues with La Bohème. Puccini's portrait of bohemians living in Paris' Quartier Latin during the 1840s is a fantastic opera for newcomers and aficionados alike. See it on summer evenings between 19 July and 5 August, or opt for the afternoon performance on 23 July.

A World Premiere

From an old classic to something completely new: Itch premieres on 22 July. Based on the bestselling book series by Simon Mayo, this element-hunting adventure story is suitable for all ages. Expect comedy, peril, and explosive operatic set pieces. This Opera Holland Park and Canadian Opera Company co-production runs till 4 August.
