Today marks the last day of the Brexit transition period, with a trade deal agreed just in time, a feat many said was impossible. As 2020 draws to a close, there have been further welcome developments in fighting the coronavirus. Yesterday, the Oxford vaccine was approved for use in the UK, creating new optimism for a long-awaited return to normality. In this article, Health Secretary Matt Hancock calls it the ‘single biggest stride’ since the pandemic began and urges us to keep our resolve as he outlines the year ahead.
