The proposed rule would add new protections to improve worker self-advocacy, better protect against retaliation, reduce abuse by increasing foreign labor recruitment transparency, and more.

Federal contractor Navient Corp. has agreed to resolve allegations of hiring discrimination

Navient Corp., which services student loans for the U.S. Department of Education, has agreed to resolve alleged hiring discrimination at facilities in Indiana, Pennsylvania and Texas. The conciliation agreement follows a compliance review by the departments Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs.

Proposed rule would improve transparency for penalty assessments

We've proposed a rule to revise procedures for imposing and appealing civil money penalties established by the Longshore and Harbor Workers Compensation Act.
