Mumâs the word: The internet craves a forbidden drinkThe internet community is many things, but cautious isnât one of them. Weâre talking about a demographic that popularized munching on Tide pods! But this story was too strange to keep under wraps. Archaeologists in Egypt discovered a massive sarcophagus in Alexandria filled with multiple skeletons and a mysterious red liquid with a rancid smell. Dubbed âmummy juiceâ by netizens, the disgusting slurry became a popular meme â eventually becoming a petition on Change.org. The petitonâs organizer demanded the archaeologists let people âdrink the red liquid from the cursed dark sarcophagus in the form of some sort of carbonated energy drink so we can assume its powers and finally die.â Well, the petitioners would almost certainly get their wish if they took a sip. Scientists analyzing the liquid determined it was nothing more than sewer water that leaked into the coffin from the streets above. How crappy.
