Broadcast halted: The A&E network was planning to air an episode of its true crime docuseries set in New Orleans, but a judge has put a temporary halt on it while she weighs a request by the man accused in the brutal crime it examines. John Simerman has the details.
Food Bank leadership fired: The longtime head of the local Second Harvest Food Bank and three board members were abruptly removed by the Archdiocese of New Orleans Thursday with little explanation. One of those fired says the church, which is in bankruptcy negotiations, has been trying to force the nonprofit to contribute as much as $16 million toward settling clergy sex abuse claims.
