Senior Centre superstar takes the win

Each year on Australia Day, the City acknowledges leading citizens who are role models in our community and who inspire others to make a contribution of their own at the Community Citizen of the Year Awards.

We're thrilled to announce that one of our incredible volunteers, Maureen Stevenson, was awarded the 2024 Community Citizen of the Year - Senior!

Maureen is the heart and soul of the Cockburn Seniors Centre in Spearwood and dedicates almost every day of her week to making a difference. Maureen goes above and beyond by actively encouraging participation in seniors' activities and promoting both the mental and physical wellbeing of those in our community.

Thank you, Maureen, for your outstanding commitment and passion!
