| | In a scathing ruling Tuesday, U.S. District Judge John Bates said that the Trump administrationâs moves to cancel the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program were âarbitraryâ and âcapriciousâ because the Department of Homeland Security âfailed adequately to explain its conclusion the program was unlawful.â The court gave the Trump administration 90 days to challenge the ruling before reinstating DACA in its entirety.
