Federal judge orders release of teens at Angola

Youth prisoners: A federal judge on Friday ordered Louisiana to remove a group of teenagers from the notorious State Penetentiary at Angola, saying those teens were kept in intolerable conditions, James Finn reports. The judge wants the teens pulled from the facility within a week.

Landry flights: The State Ethics Board wants to penalize Attorney General Jeff Landry for taking trips on his campaign donors' private jets, Sam Karlin reports. Such trips violate state laws that bar public servants from accepting gifts, the board says. Landry, a candidate for governor, has dismissed the charges as politically driven.
