Wintery weather continues this weekend. Snow returns tomorrow evening, lingering through Sunday — with the heaviest snow expected in far southern Minnesota. The southern part of the Twin Cities metro area may see 3 to 4 inches of snow this weekend, with the far north metro closer to 1 or 2 inches. 

Federal prosecutors Friday announced criminal charges against a Texas man who allegedly claims to be a member of the Boogaloo Bois

Authorities say 26-year-old Ivan Hunter traveled from Texas to Minneapolis with the intent to riot in May following the police killing of George Floyd. After he returned to Texas, Hunter allegedly talked about what he did in Minneapolis on social media. Hunter was also stopped by Austin, Texas over the summer after officers saw him and two others dressed in tactical gear and carrying rifles.

Minnesota continues to experience near-record increases in coronavirus cases and hospitalizations.

The Department of Health reports 13 more Minnesotans died from COVID-19. There were 55 deaths over the prior two days, part of the deadliest week since late May. The state reported more than 1,700 new cases. Hospitalizations continue to trend upwards, averaging 88 per day over the past week — a record high.

Alexander Hillel Treisman, 19, was indicted on child pornography charges. Federal agents presented evidence suggesting he was obsessed with mass shootings — and drove within 4 miles of Biden's home.
