Dear John,

It’s all about the transfer.

In order to influence someone, it requires a transference of feeling, confidence, and conviction.

“Selling is a transference of feeling.” Zig Ziglar

If you are in the business of selling ideas, products, or services, you absolutely must believe in what you are selling to the point where the person listening knows exactly how you feel.

“Coaching is a transference of confidence.” David Wright

If your role (parent, manager, coach) is to develop people to reach their full potential, you must transfer your confidence to the person you are coaching before they have that confidence in themselves.

“Speaking is a transference of conviction.” Jason Frenn

If your goal is to influence people from the front of the room, you must be so convicted about your message that the audience becomes convicted as well.

Are you getting the results you want in the role that you have? If not, ask yourself, am I transferring the right feeling, confidence, and conviction?

Choose to Win!

Tom
