Announcing the 2025 Kidscreen Licensing Challenge contenders and judges!

Spotlighting kids entertainment properties with tons of consumer products
potential just waiting to be discovered, this brand-new competition showcase is
shaping up to be a can’t-miss Summit highlight. And we’re thrilled to announce the
five contenders that will be vying to impress the judges and come out on top.

THE BEATRIX GIRLS

This multi-platform media brand features four highly stylized dolls who live in the real world, creating and performing music as a pint-sized pop group.

L’IL STOMPERS

Revolving around an adorable group of young dinosaur friends learning that their unique traits—whether it’s a spiky tail or a snorty laugh—are the keys to being essential members of the herd.

REY MYSTERIO

Mexican wrestling hero Rey Mysterio chooses his biggest fan to become his new sidekick, Enygma. They don magical lucha libre masks to unlock superpowers in the ring, collecting the masks of their defeated opponents to power up even more. But their ultimate goal is to vanquish a baddie named Uroboros who is obsessed with unmasking all the luchadores and harnessing their superpowers to create his own private army.

THE TINIES

In this character-driven sitcom featuring a quirky community of toys living in Attic Town, two best friends turn their crafting skills into superpowers to solve everyday problems in a sustainable way.

TINKERBEN & MOTOR

TinkerBen is a boy-genius engineer who teams up with his robo-dog pal and talented technician friends to help the friendly folk of Wowtown using cool gadgets, ingenuity and imagination.

To determine this year’s Kidscreen Licensing Challenge winner, we have assembled a panel of superstar judges who collectively have more than 125 years of experience in the consumer products industry. You’ll want to listen up when they give feedback on what these IPs will need to do to attract licensing partners and make it to retail.

Skibidi Toilet: Flush with potential

A viral sensation that has taken YouTube by storm since launching in February 2023, this animated series about toilets with talking heads trying to take over the world is considered to be the first evidence of Gen Alpha developing a unique internet culture. Skibidi Toilet is currently being developed into a franchise by noted Hollywood producers Adam Goodman and Michael Bay, with a TV series, feature films and a first consumer products range from key partner Bonkers Toys in development.
