There is still corn in the field but farmers continue to pick away at it. Corn never did dry down or add test weight, it was a darn disaster. The one thing you don't see are the piles of corn. Last year, one local elevator had 4 big piles, this year, none. Took a road trip and saw the same thing, only one pile at one facility. Factor in 44-52 lb/bu. test weight and high moisture increasing FM to high levels and the evidence says this is not a big crop. OK maybe all the farmers bins are full but full of what?
