No images? Click here Hi friend, What a year it has been! It’s hard to believe that Christmas is just around the corner and we are now looking ahead to 2021. I cannot express how grateful I am to you for continuing to support people living with cancer and their families during such an uncertain time. The support we have received through Footy Colours Day, our first (and only!) fundraising event of the year The Little Red Luncheon, and our special appeals has been heart-warming. During a year when people who are doing it tough need our help more than ever, thank you for stepping up. I urge you to read our Christmas Appeal featuring young Will below, and if you are able to, please make a much-needed donation to support other families like the Stuarts this Christmas. Wishing you safe and relaxing festive season, and I look forward to continuing the fight against cancer with you in 2021. Best wishes, Eric Wright Fight Cancer Foundation Christmas Appeal Last Christmas, young Will was fighting for his life. Thousands of kilometres from home in a strange city, he was taking part in experimental treatment – his last hope for survival. Instead of being separated during a time when family matters most, the Stuarts were able to stay together at one of our accommodation centres, thanks to your support. Will's dad Marcus told us, “Fight Cancer Foundation and their supporters gave us the ability to stay together – right where we needed to be – something we couldn’t have otherwise done.” READ MOREThe Little Red LuncheonLast month we hosted our first fundraising event of the year, The Little Red Luncheon! We are thrilled that more than $31,000 was raised - funds that will directly support seriously ill Tasmanians and their families through our Hobart accommodation centre. A huge thanks to our event partner Frogmore Creek and sponsors Southern Cross Austereo and The Mercury. Keep an eye out for our fundraising total announcement later this month, and in the meantime check out this video of our ambassadors with a special message for our 2020 participants. VIEW VIDEO |
