On 18 April 2023 HM Treasury designated the following individual, pursuant to The Counter-Terrorism Regulations, and they are now subject to an asset freeze: - Nazem Ahmad (Group ID: 15887)
This is the first use of the Treasury-led domestic counter terrorism regime, which is used to target those who HM Treasury has reasonable grounds to suspect are involved in terrorist activity. All assets and economic resources belonging to Ahmad, or entities owned or controlled by Ahmad, should be frozen unless licensed by OFSI.
