In the first session of the course, “The Pain-Body: The Hidden Secret Behind Self-Realization,” Kim shows us how to become more intimate with our pain-body: how it arises, what fuels it, and how it can assist in our awakening. Here are a few other topics we will be exploring in the first session: The sense of well-being that flows physically, emotionally, and energetically when we dissolve the pain-body How certain thoughts arise when our pain-body is active and keep us trapped in negative states of mind How to bring Presence to suffering and help it transform The art of dissolving the pain-body—including specific daily practices In Session Two, we’ll turn our attention to: “Resist Nothing: Finding Inner Freedom.” When we surrender to the present moment and resist nothing, we live in alignment with life. The saying “What we resist, persists” contains a deep truth. In Session Three, “Detaching from the Self-Image: You Are Not Who You Think You Are,” we examine the nature of ego and how it can keep us trapped and living in the past. Kim walks us through some of our more challenging emotional states and offers us practices that allow us to experience the liberating power of the present moment. In the final module, Kim will teach us how not to lose touch with inner stillness—the core of who we are—even in the midst of activity and noise.
