In April 2020, FinTech startups across the globe raised $3.57 billion worth of VC/PE investments across 160 deals. In terms of MoM trends, there was an increase of 59.8% from the $2.05 billion raised by FinTechs in terms of VC funding in March 2020. In terms of the number of deals, there was a decrease of 25.2% MoM compared to 214 deals in March.

In region-specific terms, Asia dominated global FinTech VC funding in April with 41.9% in contributions in terms of funding value (~$1.5 billion) and 28.7% in terms of the number of deals (46). The Americas placed second with 38.1% in contributions to global FinTech VC funding in April by value ($1.36 billion) and 33.75% in terms of the number of deals (55).
