MEDICI has been tracking FinTech funding and investments for the past three years. June 2021 was remarkable—FinTechs raised $12.78 billion in funds and closed 341 deals, the highest over the past three years. FinTech funding crossed the $10 billion mark for the second time since January 2021. VC funding raised by FinTechs increased from $9.86 billion in May 2021 to $12.78 billion in June 2021, registering a 29.6% MoM growth. The number of deals rose from 311 in May 2021 to 341 in June 2021, registering a 9.6% MoM growth.
