In March 2021, FinTech startups worldwide raised $10.04 billion worth of VC/PE investments across 312 deals. From February to March 2021, VC funding raised by FinTechs registered a 120% MoM growth ($4.56 billion raised in February 2021). The number of deals registered a 7.6% MoM growth (289 deals in February 2021).

In terms of region, the Americas led global FinTech VC funding in March 2021, accounting for 59.1% of the funding value ($5.94 billion) and 47.1% of the number of deals (148). Europe placed second, with 27.7% of global FinTech VC funding by value ($2.76 billion) and 27.2% of the number of deals (86). Asia secured third place, accounting for 11.1% of the funding value ($1.1 billion) and 17.6% of the number of deals (55).
