October is running more than 4.3 degrees warmer than average in the Twin Cities so far. However, a powerful cold front will shake Minnesota back to October weather reality Wednesday. The front will trigger a few thunderstorms Tuesday night as it moves through.

Fire destroys main lodge at popular northern Minnesota resort
