Delivery giant Amazon is the latest to announce a bonus for workers - with one-off payments of up to £3,000 for full-time staff. It’s hiring for 20,000 positions ahead of Christmas.

Meanwhile the North and Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce is calling on the government to act faster to resolve the issue of recruitment.
It’s survey of more than 5,600 firms found a majority of those in manufacturing and services reported record problems - with more than nine in ten employers in hospitality and catering having difficulty finding staff.
