A solid recipe for Minnesota winter = Cold snap and snow tomorrow. Temps plummet throughout Wednesday, from highs in the lower 30s in the afternoon to single digits below zero at night in the Twin Cities. With wind gusts, it will feel like minus 26 in the metro area Wednesday night. The snow will be light across Minnesota, around 1 to 2 inches. The winner of the New Hampshire primary is… After the chaotic Iowa caucuses last week, Democratic presidential candidates are having another big day in the Granite State. Check out who’s leading in the nation’s first presidential primary from this live analysis/result blog here.

AP says they can’t decide who won in Iowa — even with all the results in. Why? Final results from the state’s Democratic caucuses came out last weekend, but that’s not the end of the tedious count process, AP says. That’s because the two leading candidates in the caucus, Bernie Sanders and Pete Buttigieg, asked the party to review its reporting of the results again. 

Should lockdown drills at schools continue? About 95 percent of American public schools have adopted some form of active shooter drills. But there's little proof they're effective — and there's growing concern they can traumatize children. Now two major teachers’ unions in the nation are calling for schools to reassess the practice.
