Interstate crash: The toll of Monday's Interstate 55 car crash has risen to eight dead and at least 63 injured. Michelle Hunter and Alex Lubben spoke with first responders who rescued motorists from the fiery, mile long string of crashes. The pileup raised the issue of whether major roadways should be closed due to fog. The Lake Pontchartrain Causeway closes in response to such conditions, but DOTD doesn't treat fog the same way it does icy or flooded roads. Sam Karlin has the explanation. Jefferson Parish in the brewing business? Plans to bring a New Orleans-based craft brewer to Gretna were recently announced to great fanfare. But the project requires about $8 million in taxpayer money that will need to be approved by the Jefferson Parish Council. Blake Paterson has the details. Carjacking arrest: A juvenile and an adult have been arrested in last week’s carjacking of Orleans Parish District Attorney Jason Williams.
