CBS Sports Football Pick Six Newsletter

Since 1990, at least four teams that had made the playoffs the previous season missed out the next ... so who's OUT in 2019? I came up with five candidates, and John Breech and Sean Wagner-McGough join me to tell me where I went wrong (Breech says it won't be the Ravens), and be sure to catch Training Camp Live weekdays at 4:30 p.m. ET on CBS Sports HQ.
Speaking of regression, the Bears are the poster boys for it after losing key defensive players, plus ex-DC Vic Fangio. The thing is, even if the Bears regress, Sean Wagner-McGough says they'll still be better than the Packers, especially early in the season under a rookie head coach. Sean says lay the points in the season opener, and here's who else he's backing.
Almost nobody's expecting much from the Giants, but even with a weird QB situation and no OBJ, Cody Benjamin says there's reason for hope. What kind of hope? How does 4-0 sound? Cody says the Giants could stun Dallas in Week 1, and then they've got the Bills, Bucs and Skins. Cody's got four other Giants predictions, too (but they're not all as rosy).

Chris Godwin is going to be featured (along with Mike Evans and O.J. Howard) in a pass-happy Bruce Arians offense that lost DeSean Jackson. Now THAT sounds like a breakout situation, and Jamey Eisenberg is excited about Godwin's potential. Jamey and four other fantasy writers identified WR breakout candidates, including two different Panthers.
Chris Grier insists the Dolphins won't be tanking this season, but John Breech isn't sure if we should believe the GM, because that's exactly what you would say if you were going to tank. Actually, John doesn't think things will be so bad in Miami. He says Josh Rosen will win more games than Kyler Murray, and check out what John says will happen on D.
