Even if you don't make this cake, and you really should--it's luscious--make the frosting. It's the best cream cheese frosting that we've found. It's a whipped cream frosting stabilized with cream cheese.
Lite Whipped Cream Frosting
1 four ounces of cream cheese (1/2 of an eight-ounce block), softened 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1/2 cup powdered sugar pinch of salt 1 tablespoon meringue powder 1 cup heavy whipping cream Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.
Cream the granulated sugar with the cream cheese. Add the other ingredients and beat until light and fluffy.
