Five things to know about sending Louisiana's National Guard to the Texas-Mexico border

The push to send Louisiana National Guard troops to the U.S.-Mexico border brings up some interesting questions. If the deployment happens, it would be the third time in six years Louisiana's troops were were sent to Texas.

Here are five things to know about Gov. Jeff Landry's effort.


Hurricanes are getting so much stronger that five categories may not be enough to capture their intensity. A new standard, Category 6, would more accurately describe storms with 192 mph winds or higher, according to a new scientific study published Monday.
