A 28-year-old Minneapolis man was charged Tuesday for fleeing police, resulting in a crash in Brooklyn Center that killed a 6-year-old girl and severely injured a 15-year-old.

Hakeem Waheed Muhammad now faces three felony charges related to the police chase, including fleeing a police officer and criminal vehicular homicide.

Prosecutors allege Muhammed fled Friday from Brooklyn Center police, who were trying to arrest him for a second-degree murder warrant.
