The results will be announced in Thursday's edition of the WBJ Daily Report.
THIS WEEK'S QUESTION:
With Mustang Bio opening a biomanufacturing facility in the UMass Medicine Science Park and Chinese firm WuXi Biologics announcing plans for a $60-million facility in the Worcester Biomanufacturing Park, biotech experts like Kevin O'Sullivan from Massachusetts Biomedical Initiatives are hailing Worcester as a biotech destination.
Has Worcester become a biomanufacturing destination like the Greater Boston area?
Yes. Mustang Bio and WuXi are the start of a larger flow of biotech firms moving to the area.
Somewhat. The city has its place as a lower-cost location near the Boston hub but Worcester still has a ways to go before becoming its own destination.
No. Worcester won’t be internationally recognized until established companies open headquarters in the city and not just individual facilities.
