Much of the country remains without power and its unclear how many of the company's stores on the island are closed, but the company says "It is the right thing for us to do under these circumstances," even though many of the employees aren't working. Would you keep paying your employees in a desperate situation, even if they weren't actively working? Yes. We take care of our people even when life throws them a curve ball. Maybe. It would depend on the specific situation and the specific employee. No. We would like to but we just can't afford it. No. Employees get paid for working. This week's Flash Poll seeks your vote and opinion on this topic. Voice your opinion now! We appreciate all comments and opinions. To print any comments in the WBJ, we ask that you provide your first and last name, and prefer you also list the company you work for or the town where you work or reside.
