Please take a minute or two to read the question below and the details behind it, then cast your vote and add your opinion. The results will be announced in Thursday's edition of the WBJ Daily Report. | THIS WEEK'S QUESTION: | A report by the Worcester Regional Research Bureau found 31 percent of Worcester workers would receive a pay bump if the state's minimum wage were increased to $15 per hour. Another 9 percent would receive raises to preserve a pay hierarchy within their companies. How would a $15 minimum wage impact your company? Our profit margins are already razor thin and we would be forced to lay off employees. The current $11 minimum wage isn’t enough to afford essential life needs and we support the raise. All of our employees make more than $15 per hour so it doesn't impact us. We support the increase but it would have to be implemented gradually. This week's Flash Poll seeks your vote and opinion on this topic. Voice your opinion now! We appreciate all comments and opinions. To print any comments in the WBJ, we ask that you provide your first and last name, and prefer you also list the company you work for or the town where you work or reside. However, all comments posted in good taste will appear on our website. Comment: Can't answer the question in your email? Click here to view as web page before commenting. |
