Investing In Scotland’s Workforce - Up To £15,000 For Eligible Businesses

Thousands of businesses can now apply for up to £15,000 to help retrain and upskill their workforce.

The Scottish Government’s Flexible Workforce Development Fund provides workers in organisations of all sizes with access to training courses through local colleges, the Open University in Scotland and Skills Development Scotland.

Now entering its sixth year, the fund is open to organisations who pay the UK Apprenticeship Levy and small-to-medium size business.

UMi Debt Finance Scotland

The Scottish Growth Scheme is a package of financial support of up to £500 million for small and medium enterprises in Scotland. The scheme is backed by the Scottish Government and aims to help businesses grow.

This funding includes UMi Debt Finance Scotland, which is managed by UMi Scotland on behalf of the Scottish Government and provides loans of £25,001 to £250,000 to eligible businesses.

£5 Million Creative Scotland - Open Fund for Individuals

The Open Fund for Individuals is one of Creative Scotland’s key funding programmes, supporting the wide range of activity initiated by artists, writers, producers and other creative practitioners in Scotland. 

This fund is designed to support creative activity such as a specific project, production or a period of research and development. It can support an individual’s time where this is related to specific creative outcomes.

The Business Innovation and Growth Grant is for Scottish small and medium-sized enterprises with more than ten employees that wish to pursue business growth.

Support is available for activities in areas such as new product and service development, productivity improvements, development of leadership skills and fair work practices and entering new and expanding international markets.

Foresight Scottish Growth Fund

The Scottish Growth Scheme is a package of financial support of up to £500 million for small and medium enterprises in Scotland. Backed by the Scottish Government, it aims to help businesses grow.

This funding includes the Foresight Scottish Growth Fund, which is managed by the Foresight Group on behalf of the Scottish Government. It provides equity finance of up to £2 million in rounds of up to £10 million for eligible businesses.

£3.5 million For Landscape-Scale Biodiversity Projects.

Longer-term projects that aim to transform Scotland’s natural environment can apply for a share of funding in the latest round of the Scottish Government’s Nature Restoration Fund.

Grants of over £250,000 are available to larger-scale initiatives that restore and protect habitats and species, including freshwater and coastal and marine areas, control invasive non-native species, and reverse the loss of lowland biodiversity in urban areas.
