Good morning! We hope you weathered those wild, windy storms safely and soundly. Let's take a look at some of our latest headlines from in and around Baton Rouge. 


Outages, some flooding

The severe weather that stormed through the capital region Wednesday left thousands without power and prompted schools, businesses and public agencies to close down for the day. Here's Paul Cobler's report on the impact to the Baton rouge area. 


A stinging political defeat

Louisiana’s Democratic governor suffered a stinging political defeat when the Legislature overturned his veto of congressional maps approved last month by lawmakers. It marked the first time a governor suffered a veto override against their wishes in 31 years. Here's our Capital News Bureau with the story.
