Airline becomes first to offer in-flight AR glasses to passengers | Carriers are starting to explore the use of advanced AR glasses as a way of taking in-flight entertainment to the next level | Sick of those tiny seatback screens on long flights? Thanks to a new partnership between Rokid and Hainan Airlines, that could become a thing of the past. Instead of small, glare-streaked LCDs, you could be enjoying a giant virtual display when you don futuristic smart glasses while flying. China’s Hainan Airlines loaned pairs of Rokid Entertainment Kits to passengers on a recent flight, apparently becoming the first airline in the world to try the technology and possibly paving the way for a change in the way we consume in-flight entertainment. Installing thousands of regular entertainment systems can be expensive and time-consuming, but smart specs could offer an instant upgrade to massive displays and a much wider selection of in-flight content ...

Both connectors will be supported by Ionna, a charging network with financial backing from several car firms — including Stellantis — which will begin the installation of 30,000 charging points in the U.S. this year. Even worse, if there were no store nearby, you’d have to ship it to AppleCare customer support instead. The good news is that Monday’s update — visionOS 1.0.3 — brings an end to this farcical solution by letting you reset it there and then ...
