As the days here grow both darker and colder, we draw inward to the light and warmth of our homes. While 2021 wasn’t quite the bounce-back year we had all hoped for, some of us were able to finally reconnect with family and friends. Even the simple act of gathering for a meal now has enhanced meaning, so we’re sharing food photographer Heike Herden’s blog post that includes a simple and delicious recipe for pumpkin soup (along with awesome photos of it!) to try for your next repast.
This issue starts off with a post from Friends with Vision photographer Christian Hoiberg. As a child in Norway, Christian learned that wintry conditions were no reason not to go out – just dress for the weather and embrace it, as illustrated by his incredible, moody, Nordic landscape images.
On a colorful note, we have a post from Friends with Vision, food and beverage photographer, Scott Choucino, whose ultra-color-saturated images are brilliantly graphic in their vibrance.
