My argument is simple: Our current approach to information security relies too much on human beings.

Dig into almost any of the recent major security breaches, and you’ll find the same thing. Some poor soul screwed up—a delayed system patch, an improper port configuration, an alert someone didn’t respond to in a timely fashion—which leads us to an obvious conclusion. Designing our information systems to rely less on human beings should inherently improve security. Find three recommendations to help create architectures less susceptible to human fallibility in For Better Information Security, Rely Less on Humans.
